FSNB: COVID-19
FSNB continues to closely monitor the rapidly evolving COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation. We are committed to the health and safety of our employees, customers and the communities we serve while continuing to deliver essential banking services during this time.
We encourage you to use our self-service banking channels such as Online Banking at www.fsnb.com and Private Access (Banking by Phone) at 1-800-355-2140, both of which are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you have not downloaded the FSNB app yet, this can be found for Apple and Android devices in their respective app stores. Our customer service call center remains open and ready to service you 6 days a week, including our recently launched Chat Service available within Online Banking.
During this Pandemic, we encourage you to use your Debit Card for purchases, when possible. If you need to deposit checks to your account or send payments to companies or individuals, please contact us about Mobile Deposit and Bill Payment features.
Unfortunately, we have been made aware of scams that fraudsters have been using nationwide as this Pandemic has grown. These include, but not limited to:
• Imposter Scams – Bad actors attempt to solicit donations, steal personal information, or distribute malware by impersonating government agencies (e.g., Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), international organizations (e.g., World Health Organization), or healthcare organizations. There have also been reports of fraudsters impersonating the FDIC in order to steal bank account information from individuals.
• Investment Scams – The SEC urged investors to be wary of COVID-19-related investment scams, such as promotions that falsely claim that the products or services of publicly traded companies can prevent, detect, or cure coronavirus.
• Product Scams – The FTC and FDA have issued public statements and warning letters to companies selling unapproved or misbranded products that make false health claims pertaining to COVID-19, and the fraudulent marketing of COVID-19 related supplies such as facemasks.
• Stimulus Check Scams – We have been made aware of scams related to possible stimulus checks the Federal government may send in the coming months, including the promise of advances for these payments.
As always, we urge you to be vigilant and guard your bank account and personal information. FSNB will never contact you asking you for your personal information. Please do not share your online banking log-in credentials with any person or company. If you receive a suspicious email or text message, do not respond or click any links or attachments. Verify the authenticity of any website before making a purchase or donation.
FSNB is here to support you during these unprecedented times. For updates on COVID-19, please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or World Health Organization (WHO).
