What is Mobile Check Deposit?

Mobile Check Deposit is a service available as part of the FSNB Online banking 5-Star package for qualifying accounts. This service allows you to make a deposit to your FSNB account using your mobile banking application on your smart phone by taking a picture of the front and the back of the check.

How do I know if I am eligible for Mobile Check Deposit?

Qualifying customers with 5-Star online banking will see an option for mobile deposit inside their mobile banking application. Having 5-Star online banking does not guarantee access to Mobile Check Deposit. Restrictions apply.

Is my smart phone supported?

Mobile Check Deposit is currently available using smart phones with the most recent version of the Android or Apple Operating Systems and your FSNB mobile application. Devices not using the most recent version operating systems available may not be supported.

Is there a fee to use Mobile Check Deposit?

There are no additional costs to use the Mobile Check Deposit service outside of the current fee for the 5-Star online banking package.

I have completed the Mobile Check Deposit enrollment process but I don’t see the option to deposit a check. What do I need to do?

After successfully completing the enrollment please sign out of your mobile banking application and sign back in. You will see the Deposit Check option available. Please select this option to make your deposit.

How do I need to endorse the check that I am depositing?

Checks should be endorsed as For Mobile Deposit Only FSNB. If the check is not properly endorsed, it will not be processed.

How do I take a picture of the check to get the best image?

Place the check on a flat surface and line up the capture window with the outside of the check. To capture the best image tap the screen to focus before taking the picture.

What should I do with the check after I deposit it to my account?

After confirming that the check has been deposited into your account, write Mobile Deposit on (for example Mobile deposit on 09/28/17) on the front of the check. Then, properly secure the item for at least 30 calendar days after receiving your bank statement to provide sufficient time should the original check be requested by FSNB. After 30 calendar days please destroy or shred the item.

Which accounts are available for Mobile Check Deposit?

You can use Mobile Check Deposit to make a deposit into your FSNB checking or savings account.

When will my deposit be available?

Deposits will post to your account during nightly processing and will generally be available the next day. Funds from items deposited through Mobile Check Deposit will be available subject to FSNB’s current Funds Availability Policy. The cutoff time for the current business day is 6:00 p.m. Central Time. Deposits made after 6:00 p.m. Central Time will be considered the next day’s business. Please keep in mind that Saturdays, Sundays and Federal Holidays are not considered business days.

I made a deposit a couple of days ago and I don’t see it in my account. What should I do?

Please check your email or secure messages for the status of your deposit. You may also refer to your mobile deposit check history for additional information. For further assistance please contact FSNB customer service at 800-749-4583.

How can I view an image of a check that I have already deposited?

Select Mobile Deposit from the navigation menu, then Deposit Check. Select More at the top of the page to find the date and confirmation of your deposit. Select the item you would like to view to open the image of the check for additional details. This information is available for 10 days after a deposit is made.

Are there any kinds of checks that I CANNOT deposit using Mobile Check Deposit?

• Any check or item payable to any person or entity other than you;
• Any check or item that is drawn on an FSNB account in which you are an owner, joint owner, or authorized signer (either personal or business affiliated account);
• Any check or item containing an alteration on the front of the check or item, or which you know or suspect, or should know or suspect, is fraudulent or otherwise not authorized by the owner of the account on which the check or item is drawn;
• Any check or item payable jointly, unless deposited into an account in the name of all payees;
• Any check or item previously converted to a substitute check, as defined in Reg CC;
• Any check or item drawn on a financial institution located outside the United States;
• Any check or item that is a remotely created check, as defined in Reg CC;
• Any check or item not payable in United States currency;
• Any check or item dated more than 6 months prior to the date of deposit;
• Any check or item prohibited by FSNB’s current procedures relating to Mobile Deposit or which is not acceptable under the terms of your FSNB account;
• Any check or item payable on sight or payable through draft, as defined in Reg CC;
• Any check or item not properly endorsed as specified in this Mobile Deposit Agreement;
